It's outrageous, but not particualarly surprising. I'm sure Vince McMahon will try to capitalize off this from a financial standpoint, it's what he does. We're talking about the same guy who refused to cancel the show the night Owen Hart got killed in a senseless WWE stunt.

has anyone heard or read about this case.
this wrestler(benoit) murdered his wife and child and then hanged himself.

Removing Apostate Lies from the Internet with Legal Action...why not?
by Gill inif a lot of the negative experiences and comments about the watchtower bible and tract society and jehovah's witnesses on the internet really was all apostate lies, surely the wt society would have a legal right to take such supposed slanderers to court and sue to have the information removed.. they were able to remove quotes site just for repeating what they themselves had said.
why do they not take the same action with regard to information they insist is just apostate lies?.

The Weirdest thing that has ever happened to you...
by zeroday inin the early 60's my family would pack up the chevy belair stationwagon and travel east from california to georgia to visit relatives.
2 adults and 4 children.
we never stopped at motels and would stop at a small town at a local park and have lunch.

Making cartoon captions on pictures in the Watchtower was my favorite. Me and a friend used to black out certain words in scriptural passages to make them mean something else. We got through the entire book of Esther and a little bit of Lamentations. We would also go through the song book and debate which songs would make the best Rap songs. The Shulamite Remnant was the winner incidentally.

Doubtful. Even if they were to open their minds to the possibility that there's serious flaws in their belief system, many of them simply have nothing else. My parents and older siblings have been in their whole lives. I'm not sure they could even function in the real world at this point in their lives. It's the whole "where else shall we go" mentality.

Elders Giving Personal Opinions as Counsel,How did it Affect You?

when i was a witness one thing that drove me crazy was getting counsel from elders shooting personal opinions off their hip like it was from jehovah god himself.
how many times at assemblies, wt articles, etc.

We had a CO back in the 80's who hated gum-chewing, especially at the kingdom hall, and had no problem expressing this sentiment from the platform. In the weeks that followed his visit, the local elders tried to take a hardline stance about it. They would counsel anyone they noticed chewing gum that they weren't following theocratic direction, as if this were a directive coming from Jehovah himself. Fortunately, the madness didn't last long. Apparently it was too stupid even for JW elders.
